What happened on 5 November 1881


Where is Parihaka? Parihaka is the community of taraski and in between Mount Taranaki and the Tasman Sea was made in 1860 when NZ was a British colony.


What happened on 5 November 1881. Around 1600.The day of plunder 1600 armed and militia members invaded the western Taranaki as a result of greed for Māori owned land and to get more power by politicians and settlers.The government responded with laws targeting the Parihaka protesters and imprisoned several hundred farm workers without trial.

    Konnichiwa William, I like how you answered some of the questions the reader could have asked. This reminds me of when I did the bridle path walk. Strangely theirs a random slash (/) thats making a long gap in the post, please fix it as soon as possible.
